A baby’s first birthday is often the first big family function after the naming ceremony, and the guest list goes well beyond the child’s friends: grandparents, relatives, neighbours, colleagues. A short first birthday invitation video is a sweet way to invite them all on WhatsApp — and it becomes a keepsake of the first year.
What to put in a first birthday invitation
- The baby’s name and “turns one” or “first birthday” — the star of the video.
- Photos: a newborn photo next to a recent one tells the story of the year without any words.
- Date, day, time and venue. The full address and the Google Maps link go in the message you send along.
- A theme, if you have one: jungle, ocean, space, balloons, a favourite colour.
- Who is inviting: “Mummy & Papa”, “Dada-Dadi and Nana-Nani”, or “the Patel family”.
- An RSVP line with a number, if you need a head count for food or return gifts.

Month by month
If you took a photo every month, choose a template with several photo frames and place a few of them in order: month 1, month 4, month 8, month 12. Pick the clearest ones rather than all twelve.
In the baby’s own words
Write the text as if the baby is inviting: “I’m turning ONE and I want you at my party!” Cute, and it reads well in English, Hindi or Gujarati.

Choose a template that matches the party theme so the invite and the decoration feel connected. Guests also know what to expect (and the kids can dress for it).
Blessings style
For families who mark the day with a havan or pooja and then lunch: a softer design with a blessing line (“आशीर्वाद देने अवश्य पधारें”) and the pooja time before the meal time.

Birthday invites for older kids and adults
The same approach works for every birthday; only the tone changes.
- Kids’ party (3 to 10 years): big name and age, bright colours, the theme and the end time (parents plan pick-up around it).
- 18th or 21st: more stylish, fewer words, venue and dress code.
- 50th, 60th (shashtipoorti), 75th: a calmer design with a family photo, usually sent by the children: “Please join us to celebrate Papa’s 60th birthday.”
- Surprise party: add “It’s a surprise — please don’t tell!” in the message, and send it only to the guests, not the family group the birthday person is in.
How to make it with Prasang Invites
- Open the birthday category and choose a template with as many photo frames as you have good photos.
- Tap Easy edit. Type the name, age, date, time and venue in the form under the design. If a line is too big or small, use A− / A+; drag it on the design to move it.
- Tap each photo in the design to replace it from your gallery, then drag and pinch to fit the baby’s face inside the frame.
- Pick the music, then tap Preview and watch it once with sound.
- Download the HD MP4 and send it on WhatsApp with the map link and RSVP line.

Photo tips for a baby’s invite
- Pick photos where the baby’s face is clear and well lit; skip blurry action shots.
- Avoid heavy filters and stickers on the photo — the template already has decoration.
- Tall (portrait) photos fit the tall video frames best.
- If you prefer not to share the baby’s photo widely, choose a template without photos and let the name and theme do the work.
